Chasing The Light is a contemporary Christian band based out of Augusta, Maine. Their current lineup includes singer/guitarist Abraham Stephens and drummer/multi instrumentalist Nate DeLeon. Since the band’s formation in 2014, they’ve played hundreds of shows across the U.S. and Canada, performed to crowds as large as 20,000 people, and have become one of the fastest rising Christian artists in the Northeast.

Chasing the Light was originally formed in 2015 with vocalist Abe Stephens, bassist Nate DeLeon, drummer Aaron O’Neil, and keyboardist Jonathan Stephens. After two years of writing and recording, the band released their debut album “Horizons” and toured the U.S. extensively in support of it.

After opening for and touring with several notable artists in the Christian music industry (Unspoken, Finding Favor, Remedy Drive) as well as performing at some of the largest Christian music festivals in the U.S. and Canada, members Nate DeLeon and Abe Stephens took time to focus on their music production skills while the other members decided to focus on ministry in their local churches. Working with a diverse range of genres from the pop flavor of Adam Laverdiere to the alt rock anthems of Collington propelled Stephens and DeLeon to relaunch Chasing the Light with a new musical vision heading into 2021.

After a three-year hiatus and the departure of two band members, Chasing the Light has returned with a focus and passion that is evident in their latest offering “The Moment”.

Recorded in a time of uncertainty, “The Moment” brings a resounding message of faith and thanksgiving. Musically, the band uses big vocal hooks and modern production elements to showcase a fresh, new sound that is immediately ready for radio. “The Moment” is the band’s second single of 2021, following up their January release “Now I’m Living” which has already accrued over 35k streams on Spotify alone.

"The purpose of our upcoming album is expressly to create music that can be used in a worship setting, while still pressing into new musical territory."

“Chasing the Light presents the poise and production of industry veterans... they’ve given Christian music fans songs that will sound familiar but fresh.” - Marcus Hathcock, New Release Today.
